This is the fourth installation in the James Bond series. I’m watching it on my digitally remastered bond 50 Blu-ray collection. In this film, Bond is tasked with recovering two nuclear bombs that had been stolen from the military and one of the targets was Miami. I think the director was either trying to stay true to the book or was fascinated with the idea of underwater combat. Either way, this film concluded with an epic underwater battle. I am sure this had to be difficult to film and was probably groundbreaking at the time, but it was, unfortunately, a bore to watch and didn’t have that James Bond “feel”. For that reason, this film was the worst of the collection, thus far. On a positive note, what the film did get right, was it starred Sean Connery and included many beautiful leading ladies staying true to the genre. I would only recommend it to die-hard Bond fans or fans of Sean Connery.
