This film starring Tobey Kebbell and directed by Mathew Hope was very good. It was like Rambo and born identity combined into one. He played an ex-military veteran who just came back home from serving time in Iraq and Afghanistan. Worth watching and highly recommended. Can’t wait for a year to pass so I can re-watch like it just came out, movie amnesia.

Well, I didn’t quite make it a full year before re-watching this film. I can’t stress enough how much I liked it. It was very well done very well acted and Tobey Kebbell was a true badass in this film. Spoilers…There were at least two scenes in this film where Tobey’s character should have been killed but he’s such a badass that he somehow found a way out. Near the end of the film, when he goes back home, he goes into Afghanistan mode on the gangsters in his apartment complex. That was so sweet.. The ensuing firefight was a pleasure to watch. At this point, you knew he wasn’t going to make it out of there alive. The ending was a little bit predictable and was also slightly disappointing in that he didn’t kill the gang leader. But in a way, it is sort of mimics real life. You know there’s no way he would be able to kill them all, and there’s no way to save all the kids that get sucked into that lifestyle. It wasn’t your typical American happy ending film, this was definitely foreign made. For some reason, it slightly reminds me of the film “Ronin” starring Robert DeNiro, not sure why.
