After having watched the original thing as a teenager, I can say that although I don’t remember anything about the original movie, I do know that I didn’t like it. What I can say about this film is that I also didn’t dislike it. The alien revealed at the end of the film looked like some sort of a Minecraft creation. It had its points of suspense and kept it interesting for most of the film, enough to warrant three stars.
