I recorded this film and watched it the other night off of Showtime. The primary reason, the draw for me was Samuel L Jackson. It’s about a man, Jackson, who gets out of jail after having served 25 years for a murder committed during a grift. After his release from prison, he is tracked down by the murdered man’s son who wants to set him up on another grift. The plot involves a storyline where Jackson falls in love with a woman who he later finds out to be his daughter who he didn’t know about. Spoilers… Cutting to the end of the film Jackson’s daughter is shot multiple times But Jackson manages to save her through a blood transfusion sacrificing his own life. The daughter ends up with all of the grifts money and the credits roll.
This is a b-movie at best and should be avoided at all costs unless you’re a die-hard Samuel L Jackson fan. I am glad I picked it up on Showtime instead of renting it, dodged a bullet there.
