This film starring the comedian Adam Carolla in his big-screen acting debut. I really wanted to see this film again once I started listening to his popular podcast and it was mentioned. Let me tell you I am glad I did. It was very funny, had its action moments and a love story. I have to think the vast majority of the funny dialog was written by Adam himself, drawing from his personal experiences including his former life as a carpenter. The film was essentially about a 40-year-old carpenter, hence his nickname ‘hammer’, that takes a swing at a boxing career that could potentially send him to the Olympics.
I definitely would recommend this film.
