New Years Eve

I recorded this film during the HBO free preview this year.  This is a star-studded film, Sarah Jessica Parker, Ashton Kutcher, Zac Efron, Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert DeNiro, Halley Berry, the list goes on and on.  This movie has about five or six different storylines going on all during New Year’s Eve day.  The first 35 to 40 minutes for me was very difficult to get into this film, I almost stopped watching it.  In order to get through it, I would pause it, go do something else and then come back watch more of it, pause it, until about the midway point when it started warming up to me.  The storyline with Zac Efron for me was the best part of the movie and he was the standout star in this film.  I might be prejudiced because I am a big fan of his ever since first I saw him in “17 Again“. In all of the storylines, they had a deadline of midnight to get some goal accomplished.  I’m not sure exactly how you would classify this film.  It’s sort of a romantic comedy, sort of a family film, and in the end, it leaves you with that warm fuzzy feeling.
