Halloween: Resurrection (2002)

Having watched this film before seeing “Halloween H2O”, the order shouldn’t matter much.  It was interesting for some reason they brought back Jamie Lee Curtis in a limited role.  I was hoping she would survive more than five minutes.  The biggest surprise for me as far as the cast was the fact that Starbuck (Kate Sackhoff) was in it, from Battlestar Galactica fame.  I was pleasantly surprised to see Tyra Banks was in it as well.  Let’s not forget the very popular rapper Busta Rhymes was also in this one.  However, I think he might have been miscast in this role because the plot was ‘Ludacris’, bod-a-bing.  It centered of course around Halloween time and a local radio station held a contest to live broadcast, internet video, and audio, from the house, attempts to scare the people brave enough to show up.  Little did they know the real Mike Myers would be there as well to spice things up a bit.

Spoilers…

At one point Myers is hanging lifeless by his head. Was he dead?  No way, not thirty seconds later he stabs Busta Rhymes.  But ultimately  Rhymes would have his revenge, as he electrocutes Myers in the balls and tells him “Happy Halloween”.  Myers is thrown into live wires and is apparently burned up in a house fire.  He is shown in a body bag and was delivered to the City morgue.  But he is dead? As the morgue attendant unzips his bag, Myers eyes pop open.  The boogieman never dies…  I was entertained by this film but thought it was bad.
