I read a few quick user reviews on IMDB about this film. They were not all that positive so I had my doubts. I was still drawn to the idea of a genius young kid being put in command of a military battlefield for the purpose of saving all humanity. I have not read the book but after seeing this I might check it out, even though I don’t usually read much nonfiction. I think the most important part of any film is the casting and in this case, Asa Butterfield who played Ender Wiggin was perfectly cast. He was the teenage genius plucked for his military strategery. I liked how the film developed his character, mostly following the book. The culmination of the payoff, in the end, was fun to watch. I did watch this in the IMAX experience which aided the feeling. Harrison Ford was also good in this.
