Diamonds are Forever (1971)

This is the final film in the James Bond series starring Sean Connery.   It was based out of the United States in California Los Angeles and Los Vegas Nevada.  If I am not mistaken, this is a James Bond first.  I hate to say it, but the location doesn’t feel right for a Bond film.  Even though the film was shot in the seventies, it certainly has a sixties look and feel.  There was a moon buggy chase with slow three-wheelers.  Lowering the bar.  The only James Bond-style tech in the film was in the beginning when he used a false fingerprint.  The was a cool car chase scene through the streets of downtown Las Vegas.  The diamond plot was convoluted and hard to follow. There was the idea of cloned Blofeld’s and even Bond was cloned, but I would have to pay more attention to what happened to all of them.

Overall I didn’t like this James Bond film.  I was disappointed and would not recommend it.  To me quite honestly the previous film, “On her Majesty’s Secret Service” starring George Lazenby was better.
