Today I rewatched Cujo to see how it stands up to today’s standards. Over overall I thought it stood out stood up pretty well even though the movie was made in the early 80s the setting. I guess the biggest difference today they would’ve had cell phones. This film was about a rabid St. Bernard dog that went absolutely ballistic. In the end, the dog ended up killing three people and attempted to kill a mother and her son. This film is not for the light at heart. If you’re afraid of dogs this will terrify you. As an adult I’m not really afraid of dogs, even Cujo doesn’t really scare me. I guess if he was rabid in coming after me that would be a different story.
The only real problem if I had any with the film, was just how abruptly it ended. Was the seizing little boy going to be alright? I found the film to be rather entertaining and I would recommend it.
