The Classic Gaming Bookcast is really a nice and quick read. Atariage user Chris++ aka Chris Fererico has a nice way with words and he brings his stories to life. The book covers many classic gaming hits from the Seventies, eighties and beyond with titles such as Adventure, Defender, Joust and many, many others many of which I had not even heard of. He applies several layers of humor. He has also done his research, throwing many tidbits and factoids surrounding the subject matter.
So dust off those cob webs and rusty old brain waves and pick up a book which will be certain to oil that brain up and have it cranking faster than usual and do that with the classic gaming bookcast by Chris++.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading his book and the stories he told were entertaining. My favorite chapter was on Adventure…

On Atariage he says he wanted to keep the price low in order to get it into the hands of as many people as possible. Still not convinced? You can check the book out yourself for free by reading the free sample which covers the first 20% of the book.
Again Chris was funny, informative, he would make up his own narrative about the games back story, added his own winning techniques & strategy. He has an enthusiasm for the retro games and it shows. If I had any complaint it was that it was too short. I have contacted Chris++ on AtariAge and he informed me a second book is on the way, someday…
