C64 Cable Saver | Ray Carlsen

C64 Cable Saver by Ray Carlsen

I recently had an issue with my C64C power supply (the white power brick & cable) where my C64 Ultimate II stopped functioning, but otherwise appeared to be working properly.  I was able to get things working again by substituting another power supply.

That’s what sparked my interest in procuring a C64 power saver. The main purpose of this cable is to save your Commodore 64 from damage in the event of a power supply malfunction.  This cable can home-made if you know a little bit about electronics.  If you would like to purchase this cable, check the link below for Ray Carlsen’s website.    Ray is currently retired but still makes & sells these devices in his spare time.   I have recently picked one up from him and am now sleeping more soundly at night.
