Bullitt (1968)

I decided to record this film off of Showtime because I know I had seen parts of it before but I wanted to re-watch it and write up this quick review.  I also wanted to see Steve McQueen and how he compares to today’s badasses.   In short, he was great, but in more of an intellectual way, whereas today’s badasses are much more physical.

The film ended in a scene on the outskirts of LAX, reminding me of one of my favorite films, Heat.  Except that film featured multiple badasses.  This film also starred Robert Vaughn, as a colleague of McQueen, who was a constant thorn in his side.

This film also featured a pretty cool chase scene through the streets of San Francisco, probably one of the films first such scenes.  The plot was a little bit difficult for me to follow.
