This film acted in and directed by Ben Affleck was one of this year’s best films. It covered the time period in the late seventies, early eighties, in Iran when the Iranian rebels stormed the US embassy, only a handful made it out of the embassy, escaping capture. Affleck plays a CIA agent tasked with rescuing these 6 people, bringing them back to the US. This film was historically accurate and kept you interested throughout. I am writing this review about two months after having watched it, but its impression remains strong. It has an exciting climax and it felt as real as a movie can. In other words, you were transported into the era and went along for the ride.
