This is the third installation in the James Bond series. I’m watching it on my digitally remastered bond 50 Blu-ray collection. I have to say this film starring Sean Connery, so far is the best James Bond in the series that I watched. In this film Bond gets the Aston Martin DB fully loaded with all James Bond gadgets. And there’s a fairly good car chase where he gets to use most of these gadgets. This is the film where one of the villains is an Asian dude that has a top hat that he throws like a frisbee that cuts through things. I liked the plot of the film which I thought was pretty good for a James Bond flick. The idea is Goldfinger is trying to smuggle gold from one country where he purchased it at a low price and then sell it in another country for a higher price. But in order to drive his the value of his gold higher, he plans on breaking into Fort Knox in the United States and setting off a nuclear detonation that will create radiation on all of the United States gold bullion, thereby increasing the market value of his gold which he estimates by a factor of 10.
