This is the first big film of the year that I watched. By big, I mean it had several A-listers, including George Clooney, Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Cate Blanchett, and let’s not forget the star of 2011s, “The Artist“, Jean Dujardin. The plot involves all the main characters banding together for the purpose of collecting stolen artwork from the Nazis during World War II. For me, it was a rather forgettable film because it didn’t hit me hard emotionally like I was expecting it to. Instead, it made light of the situation with light comedy and mostly skirted around the serious war topics. I understand this was based on a true story. Even though I didn’t have that big connection to it, it was very well acted and I was compelled to finish it. I was on the fence about my rating, but I think it was floating around three and a half stars, tilting toward four due to the acting.
