“My man”
This was a star-studded film starring today’s greatest actors, Denzel Washington, Russel Crowe for starters. I even spotted a quick appearance by Darrel, from the walking dead, ahem, I mean, Norman Reedus. It is of course about an infamous American Gangster, Frank Lucas. In a way, this is a familiar story, the story of a determined cop chasing down a notorious bad guy. The main similarity that comes to mind is ‘Heat’, one of my all-time favorite films. This is more of a biopic about Frank Lucas, and the story in the way it was told was terrific.
Frank:
“What can you promise me?”
Richie:
“You can be rich in jail for the rest of your born days, or be poor outside for some of them. That’s what I can promise you.”
