Basically, this was a cheap imitation of the original starring Charles Bronson and Jan Michael Vincent. Although Jason Statham is an entertaining action actor, this film did not live up to the original. Poorly executed, poorly written, makes me long to watch the original 1972 version again. This film in my opinion does not stand out on its own even if you have not seen the original.
