I picked up this film in order to compare it to the other summer blockbuster movie, “Olympus has Fallen“. I don’t know why Hollywood is always releasing different versions of the same movie. The notable cases of this that I can think if are “Armegaddan” and “Deep Impact“. Also “the illusionist” and “The Prestige“, come to mind. The difference is, these films were pretty good even though they came out at the same time and covered the same subject. Enter “White House Down“, a film starring Channing Tatem and Jamie Foxx (for no good reason), about a far fetched attempt at taking over the Presidency for political gain and yes, Channing Tatem is there to save the day, really? This film was beyond terrible and it stretched way too long. There were several ridiculous twists that if true would have made our government look like its ran by the three stooges.
