Son of No One

This was a mediocre film that had a lot of potential considering the fact it had so many well-known stars.  It was about a kid that accidentally / self-defense killed two people, then flash to adulthood, and the murders are coming back to sort of haunting him.  He was being played by Channing Tatum.  The detective that was investigating the crimes was played by Al Pachino.  I didn’t really understand why Al’s character didn’t pursue the murders when he knew who did it in the first place.  He instead uses them against Channing’s character as an adult.  The stand out for me was Tracy Morgan, showing his acting chops.  He wasn’t trying to play a funny guy or crack any jokes.  He played the part of Channing’s young friend who knew about the murders and was mentally challenged possibly stemming from those events.   I did find the film entertaining, just not great, and I had some problems with a few of the plot points.  For these reasons, I would just barely give it three stars.
