“You said it yourself bitch, we, are the guardians of the galaxy”
I went into this film not having very high expectations and I was very surprised by it, in a good way. I was interested in it because it was sort of futuristic while at the same time it was a marvel comics film that appeared to not take itself too seriously. I was correct. I would say the main star of the film was Chris Pratt, who in this film referred to himself as Star Lord. He was quite funny in this. He played a sort of futuristic bounty hunter, who was retrieving a very important object for his client. The problem was, he was not the only one seeking this object. He is pursued by Zoe Saldana who plays the part of Gamora, who finds out he is in possession of the object. Their first meeting ended up being a battle. Star Lord is also being pursued by the talking raccoon and the walking tree because he also has a bounty on himself being an outlaw. The four of them end up joining forces to sell this very valuable object to the highest bidder while fighting off those that try to stop them.
This was a very fun mostly family-oriented film. There were a couple of unnecessary spots of bad language and a bit of violence that probably prevented this film from being rated PG. I enjoyed the futuristic setting and the overall tone of the film. I would highly recommend it.
